Summer Sewing Lessons

Hosted by The Schoolhouse of Sunshine

Spend a week together this summer learning how to sew! Our sewing mascot, Shelly the Snail, will also encourage the girls to write letters, read books, and do a variety of other handicrafts all summer long. It’s going to be SEW much fun for girls ages 6-14! All summer sessions are held at:

Lakeland Vineyard Church (2023 W. Pipkin Rd.)

Week 1- Road Trip: Florida

Dates: June 8-12, 2026

Session 1: ((FULL!)) Girls- Age 6-10 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Cost: $150.00. Our main projects: travel bag & a sleeping bag/pillow for your favorite stuffie, along with other fun travel necessities with a Florida vibe.

Session 2: ((FULL!)) Girls- Age 8- 14 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Cost: $200.00. Our main projects: Cosmetic travel bag & travel pillow.

Step Up for Education Scholarship Funds accepted for any session.‍ ‍

Week 1 & 2 (Sessions 1,2,3, & 4) will be the same projects, but different fabrics.

Week 2-Road Trip: Georgia

Dates: June 15-19, 2026

Session 3: ((FULL!)) Girls- Age 6-10 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Cost: $150.00. Our main projects: travel bag & a sleeping bag/pillow for your favorite stuffie, along with other fun travel necessities with Georgia on our minds.

Session 4:((FULL!)) Girls- Age 8- 14 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Cost: $200.00. Our main projects: Cosmetic travel bag & travel pillow.

Step Up for Education Scholarship Funds accepted for any session.‍ ‍

Week 3- Fair Time!

Dates: June 22-26, 2026

Session 5: ((FULL!)) Girls- Age 6-10 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Cost: $150.00. Our main project: messenger bag with fair flair and a goldfish in a bag… not a real one!

Session 6: ((FULL!)) Girls- Age 8- 14 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Cost: $200.00. Our main projects: messenger bag with fair flair and a vintage quilt piggy.

Week 4- Lady Liberty

Dates: June 29-July 3, 2026

Session 7: ((FULL!)) Girls- Age 6-10 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Cost: $150.00. Our main project: book pouch, homemade liberty costume for summer dress up, and holiday decor.

Session 8: ((FULL!)) Girls- Age 8- 14 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Cost: $200.00. Our main projects: ruffled book pouch, patriotic shirts, and holiday decor.
